2011 CMA Awards

The 45th Annual CMA Awards were recently held in Nashville, TN and the fashion was FIERCE. My favorites were narrowed down to six (pictured below).

Taylor Swift looked all natural in J. Mendel. Carrie Underwood, who hosted the show, arrived in a Reem Acra dress. Jennifer Nettles sported a Naeem Khan beauty. Faith Hill stepped out in Chado Ralph Rucci. Ginnifer Goodwin took a risk in he Prabal Gurung black and white number. And once again Carrie Underwood stunned us all presenting in a Zuhair Murad gown.

Christmas Couture!

Although Thanksgiving has yet to arrive, the October NYC snow storm has got us all in the Christmas sort of mood. Well Net-A-Porter caught on to the theme and has released the numerous amount of high fashion Christmas sweaters that will be available for this upcoming season! The sweaters have a fun range of prints and patterns to pictures of snowmen and puppies!

Designer Trend: Antonio Berardi

Berardi is known for his figure-hugging dresses, unique fabrics and techniques, as well as his classic way of making a woman look and feel beautiful. Berardi began getting popular after Rihanna stepped out in his designs at her UK fragrance launch. She received best dressed for almost every magazine's look that week. The designer's popularity boomed as more celebrities decided to follow Rihanna's lead. Kate Bosworth, Zoe Saldana, Frieda Pinto, and even Sarah Jessica Parker have stepped out in a number of Berardi's designs!

What's happening in Hollywood?! 

Fashionista, Pippa Middleton, is sporting her favorite color of fall- BLUE! She stepped out on Wednesday looking cute in a Sara Berman velvet trim jacket, black trousers, Kate Kuba lace-up boots, a Beulah London blue heart scarf and Bvlgari (awesome designer!) sunnies. She repeated this color again in the same week! Middleton was spotted heading to work in West London wearing a blue dress, black blazer, black tights, black heels, sunglasses and her latest handbag.

NYC Event :)

Last week, I covered two NYC events. I attended the Today Show at Rockefeller Center and the Joe Jonas concert at the Best Buy Theatre. I attended the Today Show with my roommate and another friend. We stood outside and got to view inside of the window. We appeared on TV quite a few times. The guests on the show were Joe Jonas and Kourtney Kardashian. We met Joe Jonas while waiting outside and then as we went to leave we saw Kourtney Kardashian's boyfriend smoking. We asked for a picture and he happily took one. We later walked past the back entrance where Kourtney Kardashian's driver was. When he drove away, my friends and I started to walk towards Times Square to get in line for the Joe Jonas concert. Her driver then drove past us and beeped so we walked up to the car. Kourtney Kardashian walked through the doors. Paparazzi's cameras began to flash. She still managed to take pictures with us despite her busy schedule. We got in line for the Joe Jonas concert right after meeting her and ended up being front row. It was a fabulous concert filled with dancing and singing. Joe Jonas gave us a rose while covering Chris Brown's Beautiful People. It was one of the best days I have experienced here in NYC in a while. The next morning, I met Joe Jonas again with my best friend while in Soho.

Designer Profile: Roberto Cavalli

Roberto Cavalli never fails to catch my eye with his collections. He just debuted his Spring 2012 collection and his trend was.... GOLD!

He opened the runway show with a gold sequin jacket and followed up with a series of other gold pieces. However he also stuck to his signature looks of animal prints, tailored suits, black sequin tailored jackets, fitted and wide-leg pants and multi-colored print blazers.
